Q: Apa perbedaan 2-PC dan 3-PC ball valve?
A: 2-PC: body terdiri 2 bagian (body + cap bolted) — bisa maintenance dengan lepas cap. 3-PC: body 3 bagian — paling mudah maintenance tapi lebih mahal. Untuk aplikasi industrial umum, 2-PC adalah pilihan terbaik (balance cost vs serviceability).
Q: Apa itu full bore ball valve?
A: Full bore artinya diameter lubang di ball sama dengan diameter pipa — pressure drop minimal, flow rate maksimal. Reduced bore: ball ID lebih kecil dari pipe ID — pressure drop lebih tinggi tapi lebih murah. Untuk main line, selalu pilih full bore.
Q: Apakah ball valve SS304 cocok untuk air laut?
A: Untuk air laut, SS304 kurang ideal karena chloride bisa bikin pitting corrosion. Untuk seawater, pakai SS316 (molybdenum content lebih tinggi) atau duplex stainless steel.
Q: Berapa umur pakai ball valve CETO 2-PC?
A: Dengan operasi yang benar (on/off, bukan throttling) dan maintenance rutin: 10–20 tahun. Cycle life biasanya 5,000–10,000 cycles tergantung media dan pressure.
Q: Apakah ball valve bisa untuk throttling?
A: Tidak direkomendasikan. Ball valve di-design untuk full open atau full close. Kalau dioperasikan di posisi partial open, turbulence tinggi bisa aus seat dan ball dengan cepat. Untuk throttling, pakai globe valve atau V-port ball valve.
Q: Apa arti JIS 10K dan apakah sama dengan PN16?
A: JIS 10K = pressure rating 10 kg/cm² (~10 bar). PN16 = 16 bar. JIS 10K lebih dekat ke ANSI 150LB (~10.3 bar) atau PN10. Tapi dalam praktik, JIS 10K flange sering kompatibel dengan PN16 karena bolt pattern mirip — cek datasheet untuk mastiin.
